The present building of the Meriton Old Town Hotel dates back to 1880 when one of the towers of the historical city wall, the Rentern Tower dating back to 14th c. was destroyed, and the current building was erected on its foundations.
Meriton Old Town Hotel's interior decoration is striving to preserve this historic atmosphere by mixing the pseudo-Gothic details with modern conveniences: a contemporary room solution has been placed inside ancient walls; natural materials are adorned with modern accents. The dominating materials are natural stone, dark wood, multicoloured fabrics and wrought iron.
The hotel has 3 single and 38 double rooms, all with ensuite facilities. Six of the most spacious rooms (2 of which have balconies) are called Bella Vita rooms. All the rooms are non-smoking.
One room is furnished considering the needs of disabled people and 10 considering the needs of people with allergies.
